Tonasket girl's volleyball team earns awards

TONASKET – At the Tonasket girl’s volleyball banquet on Nov. 14, several players were given awards they had earned throughout the season.

Senior Amber Allen was named Most Valuable Player while Kellilynn Vanatta was named Most Improved Player. Sophomore Jessica Rhoads was named Most Inspirational Player and junior Falisha Laurie won the Sportsmanship Award.

Senior Megan McKinney won the Coaches Award while Jayden Hawkins won the JV Coaches Award and Mackenzie Wheeler won the C-Squad Coaches Award.

Senior Cierra Silverthorn and senior Jessica Kitterman both won the Special Award for Perfect Attendance for four years. Silverthorn also made the CTL All-League second team while Allen and Kitterman each earned the CTL All-League Honorable Mention.

“There were lots of other awards given as well,” Nellie Kirk, head coach, said. “The banquet went great; the food was wonderful and the attendance was terrific.
