Carriers should know conditions

On Jan. 3 I had to go to the post office to pick up my mail because the mail carrier said that she had got stuck twice trying to deliver my mail. She had given me a notice and then a second, so I tried to take care of it with what I had, but, not good enough.

She wanted 30 feet, yes 30 feet! 1) No one in their right mind is going to shovel 30 feet; if you do you have no job and a lot of time. 2) Some of us don’t have the luxury of a snowplow.

What I am getting at is that postal carriers know of our winter conditions and should be better prepared (i.e. snow tires, chains, slower speeds). Or, maybe even get out of the car and deliver the mail.
