TONASKET – The Tonasket FFA Alumni and friends will be hosting its annual barbecue on Thursday, Aug. 15, at 6:00 p.m. at the Tonasket Rodeo Grounds, followed by a dessert auction.

All are welcome to the annual fundraiser for FFA activities – not just FFA alumni.

Desirae Coe, president of the Tonasket FFA Alumni, said that the barbecue (which is free) also is a chance to thank the community for its support of the FFA program and is a chance to recruit new members.

“Highlighting this year’s event is the dessert auction in honor of Tonasket’s own 2013 State Champion Rituals Team,”

Coe said. “All proceeds from the auction will be donated to the team to be used for their travel expenses while competing at the National Competition (in Louisville, Kentucky) in October. We’re very proud of their and (adviser Matt Deebach’s) accomplishments!”
