Patricia Libby

Patricia A. Libby, much loved daughter, sister and friend of many, passed away peacefully at Sacred Heart Hospital in Spokane on May 18, 2008. She will never be forgotten

Patricia was born on Aug. 18, 1939 in West Buxton, Maine. She moved to California with her family in 1956, then up to the Tonasket area in 1973 and has remained there with her family since.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Elsie Libby, in June 2006. She is survived by her father, Albert Libby of Tonasket; sisters Jeanette Mooney and husband Gordon, Linda Cook and husband Lawson, both of Tonasket; and her brother, David Libby and wife Roberta of Durham, Calif. She will be missed by the many nephews and nieces and cousins that she had.

Patty, as she was known by all, loved to go to the meetings at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses and enjoyed being with all her friends there. She was a very loving person, always knew someone was missing and the first to ask where they were. Everyone loved Patty and she will be missed by all in the congregation.

Patty loved to play cards and games, often friends (young and older) would come to the house, play cards with her and just visit. Her days at the Omak Hospital were made more enjoyable by the many friends that came to play cards with her and visit while she recovered from her surgery. When she was transferred to Sacred Heart in Spokane because of complications, her friends Jim, Tammy and Amey came there to help comfort her and entertain her on her good days while she was there. A special thanks to everyone who made Patty’s last days more pleasant for her and a great support for our family that was needed.

The memorial service was held on Sunday, June 1 at the Oroville Kingdom Hall of Jehovah witnesses, officiated by Jim Walker, a very special friend of Patty’s. A reception was held at the family home after the service for all her many friends and family and the sun came out for the whole time.

We will have good memories of Patty until we see her again in Jehovah’s paradise here on earth that he promises us in the near future.
