Margaret ‘Nan’ Diamond

Margaret “Nan” Ann Diamond, 71, of Tonasket, died Saturday, Nov. 20, 2010.

She was the daughter of the late Irvin and Margaret O’Reilly Hudson. She was born in Ely, Nevada, and lived in Nevada for all of her young life. She met and then married the love of her life, Urschel D. Diamond, in Reno, Nevada. They were married for 53 years. Nan was a homemaker all of her life and moved with her husband as he followed a career in the U.S. Air Force.

She is survived by her loving husband, Urschel, of the home; sisters: Helen Minor of Calif. and Dolores Kitchen of Nevada; her children: sons: John Diamond and Mark Diamond of Las Vegas, Nevada, Rick Diamond of Auburn, Calif., Lisa Taylor of Mount Vernon, Wash. and Roxie Hornal of Highland, Calif.; she had 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Her daughter Joy Diamond preceded her in death.

Nan’s greatest contribution was as a mother and grandmother. She was always giving love and wisdom. Nan was loved by everyone she came in contact with and loved deeply by her family. As one grandchild stated for us all, “you gave me lots of wisdom and I miss you already.”

Immediate family will be celebrating the life of Nan Diamond, Wednesday, Nov. 24, 2010 with a private viewing from 1 p.m. – 3 p.m. at Legacy Memorial, 309 N. Main Street, Omak, Wash. On-line condolences may be left for the family at legacymemorial.info.
