Ella Pauline “Polly” Thayer, “98 years young,” passed away February 22, 2016 at the North Valley Extended Care in Tonasket. She was born in American Falls, Idaho to Robert and Caroline Fischer.

Ella lived in South Dakota and Renton, Wash. before moving to Oroville to be near her daughter, Joanne Thorndike. In addition to her daughter she is survived by one son, Steven (Peggy) Baumgardner of EAU Claire, Wisc.; one brother, Alvin Fischer and one sister, Edna Schoppert and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Marianne Davis and one son, Robert Baumgardner.

There is no service planned at this time. Precht-Harrison-Nearents Chapel and the Okanogan County Crematory are entrusted with the arrangements.
