Dorothy Brattain, age 89, died on Tuesday, Jan. 12, 2010 at Franklin Hills Health Center in Spokane.

She was born on July 29, 1920 in Pine Creek to parents Carl and Etta (Didra) Paxton. Dorothy attended schools on Pine Creek, Longview and graduated from Riverside, Wash. in 1939. On May 13, 1940 she married John Brattain in Lewiston, Idaho. Dorothy worked as an apple packer and foreperson for Regal Fruit for a number of years. She was a member of the Tonasket Eagles Auxiliary.

She is survived by two daughters: Arloha Scriver and Victoria Linden both of Spokane; Six grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, John; sister-in-law, Agnes Shunn; and her son, John (Jack) Brattain.

Family services will be held at a later date.
