Clifford A. Beezley

Clifford Beezley, loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and uncle passed away in his sleep on Oct. 14, 2007 in North Bend, Wash. By his side was his loving wife of 62 years Mary Lou Beezley (Flint).

Cliff was born May 31, 1916 in a small town near Baker City, Ore. to Lewis and Mildred Beezley. Cliff graduated from Richmond Beach High School and worked many interesting jobs including first mate on the stern wheeler “Nenana” on the Yukon River in the 1930’s. Cliff joined the U.S. Navy during W.W.II and served in the Pacific arena as Engine Room Chief on a Navy supply vessel. When the war ended he returned to Seattle and married his life-long sweetheart Mary Lou Flint in 1946.

Cliff earned an engineering degree at the Allied Technical School at the University of Illinois in 1950. While in Illinois he was baptized in Christian love and faith at Moody Bible Church. Cliff returned to the Seattle area and a farm in Redmond, Wash. He was employed as an aeronautics engineer with Boeing from 1950 to 1978. After retirement he moved to Oroville where he and Mary lived until returning to Western Washington and the Snoqualmie Valley.

His older sister Helen Schroeder preceded him in death.

He is survived by his wife Mary Beezley, his sister Grace Maxum, his daughter, Jody Hodson, his grandson Bob McAllister (Dawn), his granddaughter Bonnie McDonald (Dana) and his great grandchildren, Stephanie, Ben, Katie, Andrew, Colin and Elliott.

A celebration of life will be held Sunday Nov. 4, 2007 at 2 p.m. at the Carnation Bible Church, 32615 N.E. 45th St. Carnation, Wash. 98014. Memorial donations may be made to Carnation Bible Church.
