Andrew (Andy) Morris Brownlee, age 81 of Tonasket, died on December 30, 2015 at North Valley Extended Care in Tonasket. He was born on the family ranch up Watson Draw May 7, 1934 in Pateros to parents Robert and Doris Brownlee.
He graduated from Pateros High School in 1952 and after graduation joined the U.S. Army. He served in Korea in 1954 as a dog handler guarding the base with his dog, Prince. After the military, he came home and worked for Boeing in Renton in the 1960’s and then for Crown Zellerbach lumber mill in Omak in the early 1970’s.
Andy had a love of taking pictures evidenced by his many photo albums and slide collections of his family and time in the military. He also enjoyed parades and could always be found watching the Founder’s Day Parade in Tonasket. He lived in Tonasket from 1983 until his death.
Andy is survived by his Children, Dan (Lorena) Brownlee, Patty (Andy) Thompson and Robin (Anna Milewski) Brownlee; his brother Philip (Joan) Brownlee, sisters Lorraine (Bill) Gilden and Jeannie Engfer; grandchildren Mark (Georgie) Brownlee, Stacey (Cody) Conley, Drew and Ashley Thompson and Kelson Milewski and great grandchildren Ava and Aiden Brownlee (Mark), Cooper, Creighton and Channing Conley (Stacey).
Andy was preceded in death by his parents, Bob and Doris Brownlee and his nephew Terry Lee Gilden
Services will be held at a later date.
