TONASKET – The Tonasket High School baseball team received the Caribou Trail League Sportsmanship Award for the 2010 team, the head coach announced at the team’s banquet on Wednesday, June 9.
“When the league decides on the team that’s going to get the Sportsmanship Award, they really look at what their experience was when they went to other schools,” Stephen Williams, head coach, said. “I want to thank everybody here who worked hard at making sure other teams had a good experience in Tonasket.”
During the banquet, Kaleb Steinshauer was presented with the team’s Sportsmanship Award.
“He was always one of the first to arrive and one of the last to leave every day,” Williams said. “Steinshauer accepted every role he was asked to play this year and always with a great attitude.”
Receiving first year letters were Steinshauer, Ian Young, Jacob Hollingshead, Kris Martini, Trent Turner and RJ Roeber.
Receiving second year letters were Corbin Moser, Justin Dellinger, Corbin Mirick, David Goyette and Dylan Fewkes.
Wade DeTillian and Ty Thornton received third year letters and no fourth year letters were given.
