Three Tonasket girls' soccer players honored with CTL All-League Awards

TONASKET – During the girls’ soccer team banquet on Thursday, Nov. 12, first year head coach Darren Collins announced that three girls were chosen for Caribou Trail League All-League awards.

“There were three girls that made the all-league teams which was really nice for me as a first time coach,” Collins said.

Meghan Newton, Stefanie Brunell and Kelly Cruz where each chosen for Second Team All-League awards.

The whole team received Distinguished Scholastic Awards for having a team GPA of 3.0 to 3.49. Participation awards were given to Adrianna Benitez, Alyssa Holbert, Kathylee Gibson, Brenda Ramos and Angela Vaughn.

Collins also handed out letters to those girls who earned them. Letters were given to Blanca Cosino, Kelly Cruz, Alicia Edwards, Sanna Härkönen, Cayla Monroe, Meghan Newton, Isahura Ramos, Megan Rawley, Shelby Scott and Michelle Timmerman.

Timmerman, Megan Rawley and Meghan Newton were also named as team captains.
