Superintendent search, Discipline Committee formation
OROVILLE – The Oroville School Board will meet Monday and Tuesday, March 14 and 15 for special school board meetings to discuss the Superintendent Search and the formation of a new Discipline Committee.
The Monday meeting starts at 6 p.m. in the district office. Lloyd Olson will be giving the update on the ongoing search for a district superintendent to take Supt. Steve Quick’s place when he steps down from that position at the end of the school year. Olson is with Northwest Leadership Associates which was contracted by the board for $8400 to help conduct the superintendent search.
After the discussion the board plans to go into closed door executive session to “evaluate the qualifications of applicants for public employment under RCW 42.30.110 (g). Following the executive session the board plans on adjourning the special meeting, according to the agenda.
On Tuesday, March 15 the meeting starts at 6:30 p.m. The meeting will discuss the formation of a new Discipline Committee. There will be discussion of the purpose and terms of the committee, as well as the appointment of up to two board members to the committee.
Following the discussion and the appointments, the board plans on adjourning.
