In the article on the Oroville School Board in last week’s print edition we erroneously wrote that the school board tabled the decision on whether to reappoint Carl Iverson as next winter’s varsity high school basketball coach.

Iverson was not renewed as the coach as part of a consent agenda approved by the three school directors present at the April board meeting. Item F: “Move to approve motion 04.25.115 – Approve Non-Renewal for winter coaches for the 201102012 school year: Carl Iverson – Head Basketball Coach.” With approval of the consent agenda, Iverson was fired from the position of head boys’ varsity basketball coach, a position he’s held for the past six years at Oroville. The Gazette-Tribune regrets the error.
