TONASKET – Members of the Tonasket High School 2010 volleyball team were presented with awards during their banquet on Tuesday, Nov. 9.

The co-captain awards went to seniors Jessica Rhoads and Jayden Hawkins. Rhoads also received the Most Inspirational award for the third year in a row and Hawkins also received the Sportsmanship Awards for the second year in a row. Fellow senior Taylor Ayers received the Most Valuable Player award.

Other awards presented were the Most Improved Award to Sadie Long, the JV Coaches Award to Dakota Fry and the C-Squad Coaches award to Jazmin Cervantes.

“The seniors received gifts and gave an inspirational quote which summed up this season,” Head Coach Nellie Kirk said. “To simply, it said that as high school players, the main reason they play is for the ‘love of the game.'”
