HAVILLAH – The Sitzmark Ski Area is scheduled to open on Saturday, Jan. 9. While the plan was for the hill to open just after Christmas, the opening was delayed until a government inspector could give the OK, according to representatives of the ski club.

Sitzmark is open Saturdays, Sundays and Thursdays, as well as school holidays from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.

Sitzmark invites people to “come as a family up to the hill skier/boarder or not. You’ll enjoy watching everyone on the slopes and bring your computer as there is WiFi available for you to enjoy in the lodge near the fireplace while other are on the hill.”
