Chiropractor Dr. Jeff Landon has sold his business, Oroville Chiropractic, to Dr. Cynthia Ground D.C., who will open her doors to patients beginning today.

OROVILLE – While Dr. Cynthia Ground, D.C. begins her practice at Oroville Chiropractic, the former owner, Dr. Jeffrey Landon, embarks on a much different path, going into the business of wheat farming in Waterville.

Landon, who has been a chiropractor in Oroville since July 1995, has sold his clinic to Ground and will move to Waterville to begin growing wheat on his own farm. His wife Kim and daughters Alex and Zoey will follow when school lets out.”

“All of Kim’s and my family live in Waterville and we have a good opportunity to move back closer to them,” said Landon. “I have appreciated all the business and all the great people we’ve met in Oroville and hope people will come in and give Dr. Ground a try.”

The Landons say they have made lots of friends in the Oroville area and will miss being close by, but by moving to Waterville they will both be back where they grew up and among their family.

“It will be a big change. Living here has been a wonderful experience and has been a great opportunity to make friends,” said Kim Landon. “We weren’t looking to leave, but sometimes God sends you in another direction.”

Ground has lived in Brewster since 1994 and says she plans to move to Oroville as soon as she can find affordable housing. She will operate the clinic on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Thursday from 9 a.m. to noon.

“I offer chiropractic services. I do manual and low force adjusting, as well as some muscle work and cold laser therapy,” said Ground.

She adds that her plan is to continue to offer all the services that Dr. Landon offered for the past 13 years and will be taking over patient care on Thursday, March 20.

Dr. Ground can be reached at Oroville Chiropractic by calling (509) 476-2274. The clinic is located at 1204 Main Street next to Beemans North Grocery.
