TONASKET – At the beginning of next month, the Tonasket Food Bank will be relocating to the Sarge’s Burger Bunker building at the north end of town with Thursday, March 3 being the first day of operations there.
“We got the okay from the owners to move in there,” Jack Gavin said. “This is a temporary solution because the building is for sale and if it does sell, we’ll have to find somewhere else.”
The food bank’s hours will remain the same: every Thursday from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. and Gavin said the new location will provide more parking.
“We’re glad to get the location temporarily and it looks like everything will be fine,” he added.
