CHENEY -Segornae Douglas received her Master’s of Occupational Therapy Degree from Eastern Washington University in a ceremony held at Reese Court at the Pavilion on the Cheney campus on Saturday, June 14 at 2 p.m.

On the previous day she attended a “pinning” ceremony where faculty and staff, as well as classmates, described the Occupational Therapy program and showed photographs recalling moments throughout the year. The pinning took place at the Riverpoint campus in Spokane, where Douglas and her fellow students attended their classes.

The two ceremonies were attended by family and friends, including her husband Alex Douglas; her father, Gary DeVon; grandmother, Judy DeVon and in-laws Richard and Susan Roberts.

Douglas, a 2002 graduate of Oroville High School, will soon begin six months of Level II fieldwork in real world situations. She will divide the fieldwork into two three-month sections as she and her husband expect their first child in October and she will take a break before resuming and taking the Certification exam.
