Robert ‘Bob’ L. Cadwallade

Robert “Bob” Cadwallade passed away peacefully on Aug. 30, 2011, at his home in East Wenatchee. He was born on March 20, 1931, in Wichita, Kan., to Charles and Lena Cadwallader.

Bob joined the U.S.A.F. in 1951 and served his country in Korea until 1953. While in the service he married Barbara McClenathon. They had six children. Barbara was killed in an auto accident in 1974. Bob married Joan Krahenbuhl in 1976. They resided in Roslyn for the next 19 years. Bob served on the Roslyn City Council for many years. They owned and operated “The Miners Cafe.” Bob also drove truck and worked in construction until he retired. In 1995, they moved to Chesaw until his health issues caused them to move closer to medical facilities. They settled in East Wenatchee in 2005. Bob was a member of Faith Lutheran Church and VFW Post 3617.

Bob is survived by his wife, Joan; children: Anna (Marty) Moen of Black Diamond, Elizabeth Cadwallader of Tacoma, Duke Cadwallader of Federal Way, Cynthia Hallock of Lake Stevens, Paul (Debbie) Cadwallader of Covington, Patrick (Michele) Cadwallader of Everett, Doug (Donna) Crawford of Spokane and Cindi (Mike) Ackerlund of Roslyn; 18 grandchildren and one great-grandson.

The Celebration of Life Service is to be held Saturday, Sept. 24, 2011, at Faith Lutheran Church. Graveside Service will be held at Mt. Tahoma National Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Faith Lutheran Building Fund or Central Washington Hospital Hospice.
