Patricia Ann Finley

Patricia “Pat” Ann Finley, 68, of Oroville entered into heaven on Tuesday, April 8, 2008 at Central Washington Hospital in Wenatchee after a brave and continuing battle with diabetes.

Pat was born in San Diego on Feb. 25, 1940 and lived there until 1969 when she moved to Oroville. She ran a surplus store and also worked in the apple warehouses until later finding her love of waitressing. She looked forward to her many loyal customers each day and in later years when she couldn’t work, mourned not being able to do this. She married Ronald Finley on Sept. 13, 1973 in Oroville and together they raised seven children. Her greatest love was her family and she nurtured the growth of the entire family with her constant sense of humor, patience and understanding. Pat will be missed by the many friends she made over the years. Her courage and fortitude while fighting her continuing health problems is an inspiration to everyone who witnessed her conviction not to let it get the best of her. Pat was a member of T.O.P.S., Royal Neighbors and the Tonasket and Oroville Eagles.

She is survived by her husband, Ronald L. Finley at home; children: Steven (Judy) Finley of Tonasket, Robert (Cheryl) Finley of Weippe, Idaho, Mitchell (Vicki) Greenleaf of Everett, Mary Greenleaf of Kent, Ronda (Dave) Burton of Richland, LeAnn Finley of Spokane and Danita (Paul) Bledsoe of Spokane; brothers: Roger Parrish of Ramona, California and Tommy Thompson of Lemon Grove, Calif.; six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Pat was preceded in death by her parents and brother, James R. Thompson.

A celebration of her life will be held on Friday, April 18, 2008 at 11 a.m. at the Bergh Chapel in Oroville with Rev. Marilyn Wilder officiating. Interment will follow at the Ellisforde Brethren Cemetery. A luncheon will follow at the Tonasket Eagles.

Bergh Funeral Service of Oroville/Tonasket is in care of arrangements.
