Oroville Chamber of Commerce looking for new blood

OROVILLE – The Oroville Chamber of Commerce is seeking people with fresh ideas to fill the position of president and vice president of the organization.

Raleigh Chinn has resigned his position as president and the group was already lacking a vice president. Although the business and community organization has an active core group of members and a supportive board, it has been having trouble finding people willing to hold the top positions. The president runs the meetings and is an important first contact for members seeking help and others seeking information about the local business community. The vice-president is in charge of finding guest speakers for the once-monthly meetings and is asked to fill the position of president after the sitting president’s term of office is over.

Those interested in being president may contact an officer or board member – they are: Laura Daubert, secretary; Dennis Henry, treasurer; board members Roger McClendon, Gary DeVon, Rich Solberg and Ken Taylor.
