Mary Kay Shaw Morris

Mary Kay Shaw Morris passed away Aug. 23, 2011 at home in Veneta, Ore., after a valiant struggle with lung cancer, with her husband Mike by her side.

Mary Kay was born April 18, 1947 to Buck D. and Judy Isaacson Shaw in Wenatchee, Wash. She married David R. Roads in 1966 in California and Tressa Lynn was born to this union. They divorced in 1967. Mary returned to Oroville and met and married Michael Ray Morris in 1969. Their children are Crystal Ann, Corey Lee and Shane Duane.

Mary worked as a waitress when her children were young and later did housecleaning and babysitting, but her main job was raising her kids and enjoying her grandkids. Mike and Mary lived in Oroville, Roseburg, Ore., Golden, Colo., Kent, Wash., and currently in Veneta, Ore. Mary thoroughly enjoyed going to the car races, camping and four wheeling (at least watching) and spending time with her family whenever she could.

Mary was preceded in death by her father in 2006 and her brother-in-law Richard Morris in 2010.

She is survived by her husband Mike; mother, Judy, of Oroville; her children: Tressa Greenwalt (Ray) of Spokane and her children: Tyler and Derek Smith and stepdaughter Cheyenne Greenwalt; Crystal Drew (Steven) of Fort Collins, Colo. and her children Chris and Josh Stacey, Michael Byers, Steven, Larissa and Cheyenne Drew; Corey (Darci) of Seattle and his children Garrett, Faith, Sarah and Ethan Morris; Shane (Tonia) of Buckley, Wash. and his children Cody and Paige Morris and six great grandchildren. Mary is also survived by her sister Teresa Vasquez of Cashmere, Wash.; brothers: Rick (Peggy) Shaw of Oroville and Mike Nutter and half brothers Elgin Shaw and Wayne Queen and many nieces and nephews and brother and sister-in-laws.

At her request no memorial will be held.
