Maggie Fry Mathis passed away on April 29, 2016. She was born Marguerite Lovika Fry on Sept, 30, 1964 to James L. Fry and Bonnie M. Fry at Fairchild Air Force base in Spokane, Wash.
She was a very loving and caring child, very outgoing and she loved sports. Maggie would go out of her way to help anyone in need and that’s the way she lived her life.
She loved to read and Stephen King was one of her favorite authors. Some of her favorite movies were Hocus Pocus and Con Air and she liked the television series Quincy M.E. She loved music and among her favorite performers were Johnny Horton, Marty Robins and Shania Twain, to name a few.
Maggie was very athletic and took pride in being strong and fit. She loved to cook, as well as preserve and freeze vegetables and fruit. She always gave 100 percent in everything she did.
Maggie loved animals and her dogs were her babies. She loved wolves and all cats. The internet was her escape to mystical and magical places.
Maggie married the love of her life, Kevin Mathis, on July 12, 1984. She loved to take care of him and he loved that too. Maggie and Kevin were blessed with three boys, Bill, Henry and Peter. She was given five grandchildren.
Maggie lived and worked in Oroville, Wash. and was a member of the Oroville Eagles and AmVets where she gave of her time cooking for them. She was nicknamed the Eagle’s baker. She worked for the Oroville Housing Authority and was a caretaker to too many to count.
Maggie and Kevin renewed their vows on Dec. 19, 2015 in Spokane, Wash.
Maggie lived in Oroville, Wash.
She left behind her husband Kevin; sons, Bill, Henry and Peter; five grandchildren; her father ,James Fry; her mother, Bonnie Fry; four siblings, Richard, Dianna, Andrea, Sharlene and too many adopted nephews and nieces to count.
We love you Maggie, the world was a better place because of you.
