Irma Del Nelson age 83 of Oroville died on Sunday, May 23, 2010 at North Valley Extended Care in Tonasket.&#160;&#160;
Irma Del was born on Oct. 31, 1926 in Oroville’s&#160;General&#160;Hospital&#160;to parents Charles Adelbert Brott and Nina Jess Brott. She grew up on the orchard in Oroville and graduated from&#160;Oroville&#160;High School&#160;in 1946 and then attendedWenatchee’s&#160;Beauty&#160;School, graduating in 1947.&#160;&#160;
She went on to work for various salons in&#160;Wenatchee&#160;and Oroville.&#160;On June 4, 1950 she married Franklin Nelson in Oroville and lived on the ranch, raising five children.&#160;She kept busy on the ranch as well as styling the hill ladies’ hair.&#160;
She passed away peacefully after enduring over 20 years post brain tumor surgery, as well as other complications.&#160;She surprised all the doctors and lived way beyond expectations.&#160;She will be greatly missed as she was a very caring and kind hearted lady.
&#160;Irma Del is survived by her husband; Franklin Nelson at home; children:Wanda Moffitt, Brian (Cynthia) Nelson, Holly (Tony) Nelson, Rocky (Birdie) Nelson and Betta Lidstrand all of Oroville; brothers:&#160;&#160;Bud (Freda) Brott of&#160;Kennewick&#160;and Russel (Reva) Brott of&#160;Renton; 11 grandchildren:&#160;Tyson and Ian Moffitt, Christa Hensey, Logan and Keenan DeLorme, Katie Nelson, Elysia Nelson, Sam Nelson, Casey Nelson, Karissa Lidstrand and Katriona Lidstrand. four great grandchildren:&#160;Jaden, Patience, Kyle and Natalia and four nieces and nephews:&#160;Gregory, Vern, Rhonda, and Nina
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Nina, her stepfather; Evan J. Thomas and sister; Fay Brott
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, May 27, 2010&#160;at&#160;1 p.m. at the Bergh Chapel in Oroville with Pastor Claude Roberts officiating.&#160;Interment will follow at the&#160;Kipling&#160;Cemetery.&#160;In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a loving memory fund for family expenses or a charity of your choice.
