TONASKET – With the membership goal for this year still being at 100, the Tonasket Chamber of Commerce is sending out reminder notices to last year’s members to pay their dues.
During their meeting on Tuesday, March 22, member Stephanie Bradley, co-owner of II Sisters, suggested a reminder notice for dues to be put up on the Chamber’s Web site.
Also during this meeting, member Julie Alley said the Tonasket Visitor’s and Business Resource Center would be opening soon.
“Linda Black is getting volunteers together and training them soon,” Alley said. “The sign should be up in a couple of weeks, Quil Hyde is making a table and chairs for the board room and they should be in the building before it opens.”
Chamber President Dale Crandall said he would like to get video conferencing capabilities set up in the TVBRC and to make them available for chamber members as an incentive to join the organization. Crandall also said he wanted to get a community calendar up on the Chamber’s Web site so that event conflicts happen less often. He mentioned this after a conversation about the Tonasket Junior Rodeo and the Tonasket High School Prom being scheduled on the same day every year.
The next Chamber of Commerce meeting will be on Tuesday, April 12 at noon in Whistler’s Family Restaurant.
