Brian Douglas “Cujo” Curtis, 48, of Tonasket, passed away suddenly at his home September 28, 2013. He was born September 18, 1965 in Tonasket, Washington to Lloyd and Pauline Curtis.

He attended school as a “Tiger” and graduated with honors in 1984. He grew up snow and water skiing. He loved to fish and shared them with his dad. He loved to tell of boating and skiing at Palmer Lake and Osoyoos Lake.

He has a son, Tyler Curtis Evans 18-years-old of Hermiston, Ore. He loves him very much and wished they could have been closer.

He met Debbie Smith, the “love of his life” better known as “Honey” in the summer of 2000. Debbie’s girls idolized and loved him very much.

Brian was a longtime employee of Smith and Nelson Apple Warehouse.

He was loved and cherished by all who knew him and was so much fun to be around. He loved sports, mainly college football and basketball.

Brian was proceeded in death by his mother Pauline, his grandparents Bill and Ada Curtis and Alden and Annette White.

He is survived by the “Love of His Life” Debbie Smith of Tonasket; son Tyler of Hermiston, Ore.

Stepdaughters, Amy Smith of Port Townsend, Wash., Tracy Smith of Tonasket and Katy Smith of Cheney, Wash.; parents Lloyd and Beverly Curtis of Oroville; sisters, Karen (Steve Speer) of Steamboat Springs Colo. and Kendra Starks of The Dalles, Ore.; Brother Craig (Lisa) Curtis of Suquammish and many nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at Tonasket Community Church on Saturday October 5 at 3 p.m.

Donations may be made to Tonasket Nursing Home in lieu of flowers.

Funeral arrangement are being handled by Bergh Funeral Home.
