Mary Cannaday was born Oct. 12, 1929 in Rogers, Ark., to Howard and Mae Rounds. She entered into Eternal Joy and Peace on Jan. 30, 2011 at 10:50 p.m. at the North Valley Convalescent Center where she has resided since her illness. She was lovingly cared for by the sweetest staff one could imagine and we are overwhelmingly grateful for the staff of that facility.
Mary is survived by her four children: Katie Walker, husband Mike Walker, Trecia Cannaday, Dianna Farrens, husband David Farrens and Johnny Howard Cannaday; 11 grandchildren: April Dawn, Brandon, Brent, Brian, Jay, Joanie, Kari Jo, Michelle, Renee, Shawn and Shelly; and 11 great grandchildren. Mary is also survived by her sister, Virginia Hill; and her brother, Charlie Rounds; as well as her brother-in-law, Carl Hill and sister-in-law, Anna Marie Rounds. She is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Claude Richard Cannaday, of 41 years of marriage; her sister, Lela; and her sister-in-laws: Ruby Guyll, Grace Rounds, Ardith Rounds and Emma Jean Rounds. Mary is also preceded in death by four brothers: Russel, Jim, Ray and Edward Rounds.
Services were held Thursday, Feb. 3, 2011 at the Oroville Assembly of God Church with Rev. Dwayne Turner officiating followed by internment at the Oroville Riverview Cemetery.
