TONASKET – Tea, finger sandwiches and various delicate pastries graced the plates of 12 well-dressed girls in Tonasket last Saturday.

The girls were dining at Grammy’s Nest for a tea and doll party hosted by owner Sharon Aliosi.

“I thought it would be fun to invite them over, let them get dressed up and have a little party,” she said. She limited the number to 12 girls because of the size of her shop.

The afternoon party included tea and other treats, several games, crafts and a story reading about an American Girl doll. Grammy’s Nest carries several dolls and accessories from the line.

The girls were five to eleven years old. Alhough most were from the Okanogan Valley, one came from Wenatchee. Two girls from Arizona have already RSVP’d for the next tea party, in July.

More information on that party is available by calling Grammy’s Nest at (509) 486-4900.
