Donations to YAC most appreciated

The Youth Activity Center (YAC) on Central in Oroville has been in operation for five years, opening our doors Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. as a drop-in center for all age kids to have a place to hang out and build relationships with adults who take the time to be there for them. Monday nights are specifically a time for junior and senior high students. With a fantastic staff of volunteers we have been able to minister to upwards of 30 to 40 kids.

Two of our volunteers in the afternoons are high schoolers who have given of their time to play with the younger kids. AJ Bennett and Zac Kinman have been a great help serving the kids. In addition to time spent, recently Zac brought in an envelope of donations he collected from kids at the high school.

I want to thank Zac and all of the students that donated because every cent helps! Over the five years we have had several groups donate to our ministry to the kids and it is all so appreciated! From pizzas to granola and homemade bread and other needed items, to financial donations – thank you all.
