OROVILLE – The two candidates running for Okanogan County Commissioner Position 1 have been invited to speak at the Thursday, Oct. 9 meeting of the Oroville Chamber of Commerce.
Both incumbent Andrew Lampe from Omak and challenger Larry Campbell from Okanogan will speak and answer questions at the meeting which will be held at 1 p.m. in the Yo Yo’s Restaurant banquet room.
The candidates, both Republicans, were the top two vote getters in September under the state’s new top-two primary. Their names will each appear on the general election ballot in November.
Republican Don R. “Bud” Hover, from Winthrop, ran unopposed in the primary election for re-election to the position of Okanogan County Commissioner Position 2. Mary Lou Peterson, from Oroville, is the commissioner in Position 3 and her seat is not up for election for two more years.
All Oroville Chamber of Commerce members, as well as the general public, are invited to attend and meet the two candidates for Position 1.
