  • Gloria Marie Mathyer, 53, Twisp, was found guilty (jury trial) June 10 for vehicular homicide and vehicular assault. Mathyer pleaded guilty June 7 to third-degree DWLS. She was sentenced to 173 months (14.4 years) in prison and fined $600 for the June 7, 2014 crimes.
  • Audrey Lynn Vieira, 34, Omak, pleaded guilty June 14 to first-degree criminal impersonation and third-degree theft. The crimes occurred Feb. 19, 2015. In a second case, Vieira pleaded guilty June 14 to another charge of first-degree criminal impersonation. That crime occurred Dec. 8, 2015. In a third case, Vieira pleaded guilty June 14 to second-degree theft. The crime occurred Deb. 12, 2015. Vieira was sentenced to a total of 25.5 months (2.13 years) in prison and fined a total of $1,800.
  • Bradley James Verstegen, 29, Omak, pleaded guilty June 17 to two counts of second-degree unlawful possession of a firearm. The crimes occurred Aug. 11 and Oct. 24, 2015. In a second case, Verstegen pleaded guilty June 17 to second-degree theft and two counts of third-degree theft. Those crimes occurred Nov. 21, 2015. In a third case, Verstegen pleaded guilty June 17 to POCS. That crime occurred Dec. 10, 2015. In fourth case, Verstegen pleaded guilty June 17 to second-degree theft. Verstegen was sentenced to 22 months in prison and fined a total of $4,060.50.
  • Eli Paul Vanbrunt, 31, Omak, pleaded guilty June 17 to second-degree burglary and third-degree theft. The crimes occurred June 18, 2015. In a second case, Vanbrunt pleaded guilty June 17 to additional charges of second-degree burglary and third-degree theft. Those crimes occurred July 9, 2015. In a third case, Vanbrunt pleaded guilty June 17 to more charges of second-degree burglary and third-degree theft. Those crimes occurred July 22, 2015. In a fourth case, Vanbrunt pleaded guilty June 17 to another set of second-degree burglary and third-degree theft charges. Those crimes occurred July 29. In a fifth case, Vanbrunt pleaded guilty June 17 to second-degree escape. That crime occurred Aug. 20, 2015. Vanbrunt was sentenced to a total of 29.75 months (2.48 years) in prison and fined a total of $3,257.84.

District Court

  • Enrique Israel Polina, 18, Omak, guilty of third-degree DWLS. Polina received a 364-day suspended sentence and fined $1,083.
  • Nichole Brianne Martin Porras, 25, Omak, guilty of second-degree rendering criminal assistance. Porras was sentenced to 364 days in jail with 357 days suspended, and fined $873.
  • Cassidy Lee Robbins, 31, Omak, had a charge dismissed: supplying liquor to minors. Robbins was fined $400.
  • Victor Manual Rodriguez, 50, Oroville, had a bail-jumping charge dismissed.
  • John Stonewall Ruell, 55, Tonasket, guilty of first-degree DWLS, operating a vehicle without an ignition interlock device and DUI. Ruell was sentenced to 364 days in jail with 214 days suspended, and fined $3,836.
  • Wayne Anthony Seymour, 38, Omak, had two charges dismissed: third-degree DWLS and operating a vehicle without an ignition interlock device.
  • Kareen Jo Shawl, 38, Okanogan, guilty of second-degree criminal trespassing. Shawl was sentenced to 90 days in jail with 75 days suspended, and fined $453.
  • James Leroy Spencer, 56, Okanogan, had a fourth-degree assault charge dismissed.
  • Rachelle Marie Stanley, 43, Omak, guilty of third-degree DWLS. Stanley had an additional third-degree DWLS charge dismissed. She was sentenced to 90 days in jail with 88 days suspended, and fined $703.
  • Boyd Earl Steele, 57, Tonasket, had a fourth-degree assault charge dismissed.
  • Jeremiah Van Tachell, 24, Omak, guilty of third-degree DWLS. Tachell was sentenced to 90 days in jail with 83 days suspended, and fined $653.
  • Ryan Patrick Taylor, 37, had a fourth-degree assault charge dismissed.
  • Shelaina Diane Toulou, 30, Omak, guilty on two counts of third-degree DWLS. Toulou received 90-day suspended sentence, and fined $1,726.
  • Andrea Lynn Vaughn, 45, Tonasket, had a third-degree DWLS charge dismissed.
  • Elizabeth Ann Zierlein, 36, Oroville, had a charge dismissed: violation of a no-contact order.
