TONASKET – All four 2011 officer positions for the Tonasket Chamber of Commerce are now filled.

During the Chamber’s meeting on Tuesday, Dec. 14, the final open position of secretary was filled by Terri Orford. She will join 2011 President Dale Crandall, 2011 Vice President Patrick Plumb and 2011 Treasurer Bill Nelson in the leadership of the chamber next year.

Terry Mills, the chamber’s current treasurer, reported that the chamber ended the year with a membership of 80.

The date for the 2011 banquet has been set as Wednesday, Jan. 20 and the chamber has already received three catering bids which will be opened soon. The banquet will be held at the Community Cultural Center and a committee is still needed for decorations. Mills volunteered to make the tickets for the banquet while Plumb said he would work on the auction.

Finally, Crandall gave the chamber information about the Tumbleweed Film Festival which was held in Oroville and said they would like to join the Tonasket Chamber of Commerce. He said the director of the film festival is Geoff Klein.

The next Chamber of Commerce article is Tuesday, Dec. 28 at noon in Whistler’s Family Restaurant.
