OROVILLE – Oroville’s fourth annual Kite Day will be held at the Bud Clark Ballfields on Saturday, March 26, starting at 10 a.m.

Sponsored by the Oroville Royal Neighbors of America, they say there will be free kites to the first 100 children. Started as part of Oroville’s Centennial Celebration in 2008, the organization describes the popular event as “Fun for ‘children of all ages.'”

The Oroville American Legion is also inviting people to start their day with a breakfast by coming to the Legion Hall at 314 14th Ave. from 7:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Cost of the breakfast is $5 per person or $14 per family, with proceeds going to benefit Cub Scout Pack 23.
