Correction: Use of library Reading Room not approved for Winter Market

Published 9:30 am Friday, January 31, 2014

In this week’s issue (Jan. 31, 2014) of the Okanogan Valley Gazette-Tribune we erroneously reported that the Oroville City Council had approved a motion allowing the Oroville Public Library Reading Room to be used for a Winter Market. Although the Reading Room was discussed, no such motion was made, or approved. However, the Library Board will be reviewing the council’s Library Committee recommendations on uses of the Reading Room. The matter will likely be formally considered at the council’s March meeting, according to city officials. As soon as the decision is made it will be shared with the North Central Regional Library as well as other interested parties.

The Gazette-Tribune tries to be accurate in its reporting and regrets the error.
