Published 8:46 pm Thursday, October 14, 2010

OKANOGAN – Okanogan County Treasurere Leah McCormack is reminding people that the second half of their property taxes are due by Oct. 31, 2010.

“However, this year that date falls on a weekend, so the treasurer’s office will accept payments on Monday, Nov. 1, 2010 as the postmark date or the date to pay in the office,” Treasurer McCormack said. “No interest will be accrued to the second half until Tuesday, Nov. 2.”

For taxpayer convenience, the treasurer’s office will be open from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m., starting Oct. 25 through Nov. 1, 2010. Normally the office closes at 4 p.m.

Those mailing their payments are asked to send it to: Okanogan County Treasurer, P.O. Box 111, Okanogan, WA 98840. If paying by credit card, go to: www.officialpayments.com or call 1-800-272-9829 and be sure to have the jurisdiction number ready (which is 5633) and the amount and parcel number(s) that are being paid for.
