OROVILLE – The Oroville Booster Club raised just under $10,000 at their annual auction held at the American Legion Post #84 last Saturday evening.

“We did really well considering attendance down last year, just under $10,000. We really can’t complain,” said Kevin Kinman, Booster Club President.

The event featured both silent and live auctions, with auctioneer Ken Neal squeezing as much as possible from the bidders.

“One of the most exciting auctions was for a two-person go cart donated by Louis Perez and Community Auto,” said Kinman. “It went all the way up to $600.”

The second annual auction fundraiser is a dinner event to be held on Saturday, Nov. 6 at Yo Yo’s Restaurant. Tickets are available by contacting Nicky Morales, Mary Hughes or Susan Speiker, according to Kinman.

The next meeting of the Oroville Booster Club is Monday, Oct. 11.
