Tiger volleyball bows to another state power

CHELAN – State 1A volleyball power Chelan may have a relatively young team but is proving to be no less imposing than it has been in adding to its collection of state trophies in recent years.

Tonasket took its lumps in the Goats’ home floor on Thursday, Sept. 27, absorbing a 25-19, 25-8, 25-9 defeat.

Tonasket coach Jackie Gliddon said that the scores belie the improvement she’s seeing in her team.

“The girls played hard,” she said. “I am really proud of how hard they’re trying. They know they can play and are starting to believe in themselves.”

The Tigers (2-6, 0-6 CTL) host Cashmere on Tuesday, Oct. 2.
