Public invited to tour school with architect

TONASKET – The public is invited to attend a Facilities Planning Open House Event and walk-through of the elementary school, high school shop area and the Alternative Learning (Tonasket Choice High School) building Thursday, April 28.

The school district is looking for input from community and staff in planning for a future Bond campaign.

Ned Warnick, from Design West Architects will be in the district leading this input session.

“We are lucky to live in such a supportive and engaged community, therefore we are creating these opportunities to discuss and build a plan to move forward with the Bond project,” said Anitra Atchison, District Office Receptionist and Communications Manager. “This will be a great opportunity to discuss your ideas.”

The event April 28 community event starts at 5 p.m. in the Elementary School Commons, and will go until 7 p.m.

The following day, April 29, a meeting will be held with staff (Transportation, Food Service, Custodians, Coaches and other staff who can/want to attend) from 1:30 p.m. to 2:15 p.m. in the District Office Board Room. A meeting with HS, MS, ES, ASB and ALE students will be held from 2:25 p.m. to 3:10 p.m. in the HS/MS Library. A meeting with all staff will take place in the ES Commons from 3:45 p.m. to 4:45 p.m. From 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. the Facilities Planning Committee will meet in the District Board Room.
