Five register to run in Okanogan County

OKANOGAN – As of 5 p.m. on June 9, only five candidates had registered to run for positions in Okanogan county, according to the county auditor’s office. Registration closed June 6.

For Okanogan County Public Utility District Commissioner in district one, the incumbent, Omak’s David A. Womak, non-partisan, has registered to run.

Jack Burchard, of Okanogan, has registered to seek re-election for Okanogan County Superior Court Judge. The position is also non-partisan.

Two Republicans have registered to run as Okanogan County Commissioner for district one. The incumbent, Andrew Lampe, is running from Omak and Larry Campbell is running from Okanogan.

One person is running in district two as County Commissioner. Republican Don R. “Bud” Hover, from Winthrop, is running for re-election to the post.
