In Tonasket, on Box Spring Drive, a car dealer showed up at the residence saying his nephew had written a $25,000 check for a vehicle and has a copy of the nephew’s ID and check. An incident had occurred at his car dealership and he will be filing a separate report for said incident.
In Oroville area, on Goldenrod Road, the residence had been broken into the weekend before. The deadbolt was unlocked on the inside and the chain had been broken several times.
In Omak, on Sandflat Road, a woman called police for help retrieving personal items from her ex-boyfriend. After speaking to both people multiple times, police found that their assistance was not needed.
In Tonasket area, on Cartwright Road, a male subject set his rottweiler on a resident then struck him with a hoe twice. The resident was in front of his house filling potholes. No medical attention was requested.
In Okanogan, on Riebbe Road, a man started yelling and threatening to harm a resident.
In Omak, on south Main Street, a woman on the transportation bus started yelling and threatening to kill someone. Her weapon is unknown.
In Tonasket, on 3525 Road, the deceased father of the caller was sold property by male subject which male subject did not have a right to sell. The father’s legal representative researched the property and found that the owner was deceased and had died with no heirs or written will. The male subject has continued paying taxes on and selling the property. Action will be taken immediately due to funds that have already exchanged hands including a $10,000 down payment.
In Tonasket area, on Horse Spring Coulee Road, the caller was selling an item on the internet when the person involved texted him to send the money for shipping. The money was forwarded by Western Union to the shipping company in New York who was supposed to put the money into the man’s Paypal account. The money was picked up by a person in Michigan state. The caller’s Paypal was contacted this morning saying that this was a fraudulent account. The buyer contacted the caller by text again later requesting more money.
