TONASKET – Just because the heavy wood is gone doesn’t mean the place is closed.

Patty Baker’s nursery at Baker’s Acres is still open, even though her husband Rick has retired from the lumber and building supply side of things.

“We want people to know we’re still open,” Patty said.

The nursery sells landscaping and plant products, as well as supplies and yard art. It is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.

Rick Baker will now be working at the nursery, she said.

Baker’s Acres is at 3 Rodeo Road by the rodeo grounds just south of Tonasket.
