OKANOGAN – Okanogan County Treasurer Leah McCormack is reminding taxpayers that the last half of their Okanogan County property taxes and their irrigation assessments are due by Oct. 31. Payments are due or must be postmarked by the last day of this month or interest and penalties will start accruing on Tuesday, Nov. 1, said McCormack. Those that are mailing their taxes or assessments should send their payments to: Okanogan County Treasurer, P.O. Box 111, Okanogan, WA. 98840. To pay by credit card go to http://www.officialpayments.com/index.jsp or call 800-272-9829 and be sure to have the jurisdiction number, 5633, tax amount and parcel number(s) you are paying, said McCormack. At this time the county treasurer’s office does not accept credit/debit cards at the office in Okanogan.
