About Brent Baker

Brent is a reporter for the Gazette-Tribune. Prior to working at the G-T, he was the sports editor for Sunrise Publishing from 2000-2005 in Michigan. He subsequently owned and operated Buckland Media, a high school sports website, in Michigan until 2010. He and his wife Kim, who have an adult son, moved to Tonasket in 2010. Brent started work at the G-T in 2011.

TSD reaches agreement on TPEP

TONASKET – The Tonasket School Board approved a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on Monday, Aug. 26, that was drafted by a committee of administrators and teachers that charts the district’s course through the state-mandated Teacher/Principal Evaluation Project requirements.

Jack was here

TONASKET – Jack Black’s Tonasket-area connections are not exactly a secret.

Nor was his vacation here last week as the well known actor/musician and his family didn’t exactly hunker down and hide during his visit. Black, his wife Tanya and young sons Sammy and Tommy, while visiting dad and stepmom Tom and Linda Black, took in plenty of the area, from buying fireworks at the stand in the TVBRC parking lot, fishing, causing a bit of a stir while grocery shopping at Grant’s and consuming a pizza with his family (and a reporter) at the Tonasket Pizza Company.
