Sometimesyou want your tractor to go fast, but at other times it’s the ability to goslow that the farmer is looking for. The Tractor Show offered races thatfeatured both – and when they said slow, they meant it – especially MikeMulholland on his 1962 Ford. It was so slow you could probably have seen thegrass grow around it if the race hadn’t been on pavement and the temperaturesin the high 90s.
In the FastTractor Race down Appleway LaMar Wolley took home the Championship Ribbon witha time of 14.69 seconds on his 1953 John Deere. Dennis Clinkenbeard was therunner up with a time of 14.97 seconds.
