Criminal

  • Angelica Lopez Torrence, 24, Omak, pleaded guilty April 26 to second-degree burglary and third-degree theft. Lopez Torrence was sentenced to 364 days in jail with 329 days suspended, and fined $600. The crimes occurred Oct. 22, 2015.
  • Manuel Cabrera Jr., 27, Omak, pleaded guilty April 27 to second-degree TMVWOP, third-degree theft and third-degree malicious mischief. The crimes occurred Oct. 19, 2015. In a second case, Cabrera pleaded guilty April 27 to second-degree theft, third-degree theft and third-degree malicious mischief. Those crimes occurred Oct. 6, 2015. Cabrera was sentenced to a total of 12-plus months in prison and fined a total of $1,200.
  • Jerry Ray Mears, 27, Riverside, pleaded guilty April 28 to second-degree assault (strangulation). Mears was sentenced to six months in jail and fined $700 for the July 6, 2013 crime.
  • Ian Ray Tatshama, 46, Omak, pleaded guilty April 29 to violation of a no-contact order (felony) and third-degree malicious mischief. Tatshama was sentenced to 22 months in jail and fined $1,360 for the Aug. 10, 2014 crimes.
  • The court found probable cause to charge Stephanie Melissa Starkweather, 29, Okanogan, with POCS (methamphetamine) and use of drug paraphernalia. The crimes allegedly occurred April 19.
  • The court found probable cause to charge Christopher Alan Reed, 33, Oroville, with five counts of distribution of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) and one count of second-degree unlawful possession of a firearm.
  • The court found probable cause to charge Richard Allen Reed, 55, Oroville, with POCS (methamphetamine). The crime allegedly occurred April 21.
  • The court found probable cause to charge Dona Castillo Reed, 51, Oroville, with POCS (methamphetamine) and four counts of second-degree unlawful possession of a firearm. The crimes allegedly occurred April 21.
  • The court found probable cause to charge Kevin Earl Devine, 44, Oroville, with three counts of distribution of a controlled substance.
  • The court found probable cause to charge Regina Delores Cook, 55, Oroville, with two counts of distribution of a controlled substance.

Juvenile

  • A 15-year-old Omak girl pleaded guilty April 27 to fourth-degree assault (DV). The girl was sentenced to seven hours of community service converted to one day in detention; and an additional six days in detention for the March 26 crime.
  • A 16-year-old Tonasket boy pleaded guilty April 27 to third-degree theft. The crime occurred Dec. 19, 2015. In a second case, the same boy pleaded guilty April 27 to an additional third-degree theft charge. That crime occurred Aug. 16, 2015. He was sentenced to a total of 14 days in detention with credit for 14 days served.
  • A 16-year-old Oroville boy pleaded guilty April 27 to third-degree theft. The boy was fined $11.22 in restitution to Frontier Foods in Oroville for the Feb. 9 crime. In a second case, the same boy pleaded guilty April 27 to possession of marijuana by a person under 21 years of age. That crime occurred April 15. He was sentenced to a total of 12 days in detention with credit for 12 days served.

District Court

  • John Charles Aldrich, 42, Okanogan, guilty on three counts of third-degree theft. Aldrich was sentenced to 364 days in jail with 356 days suspended, and fined a total of $949.
  • Robert Ellis Allen, 32, Oroville, guilty of third-degree DWLS. Allen was sentenced to 90 days in jail with 89 days suspended, and fined $266.
  • Christina Lynn Bates, 35, Omak, had a DUI charge dismissed. Bates was fined $1,625.
  • John Michael Bowers, 21, Tonasket, guilty of DUI. Bowers was sentenced to 364 days in jail with 360 days suspended, and fined $1,981.
  • Michael Lee Branson Pate, 36, guilty of disorderly conduct. Branson Pate was sentenced to 90 days in jail with 88 days suspended, and fined $833.
  • Chloe Gabriela Calvillo, 30, Tonasket, guilty of third-degree DWLS. Calvillo was sentenced to 90 days in jail with 89 days suspended, and fined $266.
  • David J.L. Condon-Soderberg, 21, Omak, guilty of first-degree criminal trespassing. Condon-Soderberg was sentenced to 364 days in jail with 360 days suspended, and fined $488.
  • Maria Asusena Contreras, 60, Orovillle, guilty of third-degree DWLS. Contreras received a 90-day suspended sentence and fined $363.
  • Christopher Michael Cornett, 20, Okanogan, guilty (other deferment revoked) of MIP/C. Cornett was sentenced to 364 days in jail with 357 days suspended, and fined $850.
  • Francisco J. Cortes Vazquez, 36, Oroville, guilty of DUI. Cortes Vazquez was sentenced to 364 days in jail with 362 days suspended, and fined $2,236.
  • Ivan Pagaza Cortinas, 48, Omak, guilty of fourth-degree assault and first-degree DWLS. Cortinas was sentenced to 364 days in jail with 184 days suspended, and fined a total of $1,646.
