Margaret Turner went peacefully to be with her Lord and Savior on February 9, 2016 with her daughter and son-in-law at her side. She was born May 7, 1936 in Eau Claire, Wisconsin to Ivan and Ruth Ellis.

She married Charles Bailey in 1958 living in New Mexico, Texas, Arizona, Alaska and Shreveport, LA. where her husband retired from the U.S. Air Force. They had three children, David, Richard (Ricky) and Brenda Bailey. They separated and divorced and in 1980 and she moved to Oroville, Wash. to be close to her parents and relatives.

She had a brief marriage to Ross Turner during this time in Oroville.

Mom was an independent gracious host and enjoyed opening her home and cooking for others. You might even get a haircut if she felt it needed to be “straightened up.” She was a cosmetologist for many years owning “Adam & Eve Hair Design” on North Highway 97. She retired several years ago after having her shop/business run from her home.

Her surviving relatives are her son David (June) Bailey of Wichita, Kan. with grandson Clayton (Donna) Bailey and two great grandchildren in Dallas, Texas; daughter Brenda (John) Rounds of Oroville and grandson Terry (Michelle) Rounds with two great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Also her brothers Richard (Mary) Ellis, Robert Ellis and sister Rosalie Ellis Doucette of Oroville and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one son, Richard Bailey, her parents, Ivan and Ruth Ellis and one sister Fern Hill.

A special thank you to the care providers from Frontier Home Health Care, Mom’s friend and neighbor Hazel Stajkowski and Anna Rounds for making it possible to keep her at home.

A memorial service will be held March 12, 2016 at 11 a.m. at the Valley Christian Fellowship. It will be officiated by Pastor Randy McAllister and Pastor John Rounds. A luncheon will follow.
