Colville and Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forests taking fire precautions

The Colville National Forest entered Stage 1 Fire Restrictions on July 22 due to elevated fire danger.

Two water-bomber planes gather water from Wannacut Lake to fight flames at the Rainbow Lake Fire on Palmer Mountain and the Wannacut Fire. The Rainbow Lake Fire was listed at 150 acres on Tuesday afternoon and the Wannacut lake fire was listed at 64 acres.
