OROVILLE – The Hornets dropped their two most recent soccer matches on the road, falling to both Omak and Manson.
On Thursday, Sept. 10 the Lady Hornets traveled to Omak to play the Pioneers. After a half time tie of two to two the Hornets ended up losing to the Lady Pioneers three to six.
“Naomi Peters scored all three goals for Oroville,” said Assistant Coach Kristin Sarmiento.
On Tuesday, Sept. 15 they hit the road again and faced off against the Lady Trojans. The Lady Hornets led two to one at the half time. The first goal was scored by Alex Egerton and the second was scored by Madison Hatch. In the second half however, Manson scored four unanswered goals and the Trojans won the match five to two.
“In the second half the girls just played tough, but ran out of steam,” said Head Coach Laura Kinman. “Great play by our goalie Taylor Sarmiento in the second half. Solid play by Rachel Peters and Kelsey Hughes.”
