Wayne Michael Cumbo, 55, of Oroville passed away Feb. 26. Wayne was born to Howard and Byrdie (Thrasher) Cumbo Dec. 4, 1955 in Tonasket. He lived in Oroville all his life and graduated from Oroville High School in 1975. Wayne was a part of the Oroville Fire Department (1978-1993), was a charter member of the Oroville Eagles and a member of the Oroville Gun Club for many years. He also worked for Heavy Pack, Gold Digger Apples, Zosel Lumber Co., and Sawyer and Sawyer. Wayne loved to hunt and fish and generally loved anything to do with being outdoors.
Wayne is preceded in death by his mother, Byrdie Cumbo; and sister, Theresa Cumbo.
Wayne leaves behind his father, Howard Cumbo of Oroville; brother, Ken (Jan) Cumbo of Oroville; daughters: MeLisa (Jeremiah) Garcia of Mesquite, Nevada, Jennifer Allenby of Oroville and Alysia Cumbo of Ellensburg; and grandchildren Alexis and Samuel Allenby; three nieces, seven great nieces and nephews, plus many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Wayne was a devoted father, loving son and brother.
Services for Wayne will take place Saturday, March 12, 2011 at 11 a.m. at the Oroville Free Methodist Church, officiated by Pastor Rod Brown. In lieu of flowers the family would like donations made to the Oroville Fire Department, Oroville Senior Center or the Oroville Eagles.
