OCSRA Meeting

OMAK – Okanogan County School Retirees’ Association meeting 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 30 for a no-host luncheon meeting at Koala Street Grill in Omak. Program presenter, Derina Phillips of Derina’s Flower Basket, will teach members how to create a Christmas table decoration. Bring a medium gift bag and wire cutters for the project. Final Farmer’s Market

OROVILLE – The Oroville Public Library will host their last Farmer’s Market for the 2009 season on Saturday, Oct. 31 9 a.m. until 12 p.m.

Harvest Festival

OROVILLE – Kid City will have a Harvest Party for children ages K-6th grade on Saturday, Oct. 31 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at 1400 Main St. There will be a movie, snacks, games and lots of fun. This event is sponsored by Valley Christian Fellowship.

Flag Disposal

TONASKET – On Monday, Nov. 2 the American Legion Post in Tonasket will conduct a Dignified Disposal of Unserviceable Flags. The ceremony is scheduled to start at 6 p.m. at the Post. The public is invited to drop off any flags that are no longer serviceable at their convenience. The public is invited to attend to the ceremony.

Solid Waste Advisory Meeting

OKANOGAN – A Solid Waste Advisory Committee meeting will be held on Monday, Nov. 2 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. and will meet in the Health Dept. Conference room at the Public Services Building, 1234 2nd Ave. S., Okanogan.

OKANOGAN – A Snowmobile Advisory Committee meeting will be held on Monday, Nov. 2 at 7 p.m. in the Health Dept. Conference room at the Public Services Building, 1234 2nd Ave. S., Okanogan.

‘Hum’ Chant

Free Workshops

OKANOGAN – The Okanogan County Tourism will sponsor two free workshops on Nov. 4 prior to it’s 19th annual banquet. Workshops are scheduled to begin at 3 p.m. and end by 5:30 p.m. to be followed immediately by the tourism industry annual banquet at the Okanogan Bakery (formerly Old Flour Mill) in Okanogan. All interested are encouraged to participate and non-members are welcome.
